Marisela Funes

Marisela Funes, Assistant Professor of Spanish

Maisela Funes enjoys teaching a wide range of courses in Latin American and Latino literature and film, as well as all levels of Spanish language. Her current research focuses on literature, science, and dictatorship in Argentina and Chile. She is working on a project on the act of witnessing and audience responsibility in authoritarian regimes. Professor Funes grew up in Argentina and Illinois, places that inspired her love of history, writing, and work travel.
